‘Destination Mardi Mountain’ campaign
Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry has kicked off the campaign namely ‘Destination Mardi Mountain’. The campaign is aimed to promote tourism.
To begin the campaign the clan held a trek to Mt Mardi today, with the objective of augmenting the Internal Tourism Year 2019 announced by the Gandaki state government and the Visit Nepal Year 2020 announced by the Government of Nepal.
Leader of the trekking team and president of Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Damu Adhikari said the Chamber set the Destination Mardi Mountain campaign for promoting the two visit years declared by the state government and the federal government by developing a tourism culture. Stating that the Chamber has kept the publicity of the tourism destinations in Pokhara and surrounding areas in the first priority, in addition he said they were ready to lend a hand in the promotional programmes announced by the government. He added that they were ready to work hand in hand with the state government in ‘holiday tourism’ concept it has brought as well as other promotional programmes.
Along with Chamber president Adhikari, the trekking group is comprised of the Chamber’s executive committee members and staff. The team will trek up to the base camp of the Mt Mardi (4,600 metres) in four days.
