PM Oli attended cultural event ‘Sarangi Evening’
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli attended the ‘Sarangi Evening‘ programme at his official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday evening. Madan Bhandari Art and Literature Academy and Nepal Academy of Music and Drama (NAMUDA) had jointly hosted the event.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli also played the country’s folk musical instruments Sarangi and Bansuri, according to General Secretary of the Academy Devi Nepal. Later, former Prime Ministers and NCP Leaders Jhalanath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal also joined PM Oli.
Artists from the NAMUDA played different indigenous tunes. They represented Palam music of Limbu ethnic group in the east to Deuda in the far-west. Majority of the cabinet members attended the programme.
